ACROSS MARYLAND
#nationalnightout
BALTIMORE, MD - Tomorrow night, the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) Police will join our law-enforcement partners from across Maryland during the 34th Annual National Night Out.
"National Night Out is an opportunity for law enforcement to continue to build on its positive relationships with community residents, businesses and civic groups," said MDTA Police Chief Colonel Jerry Jones.
National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. It provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together in a positive environment, which often includes block parties, cookouts, festivals, parades and other events. Law- enforcement agencies will provide safety demonstrations, seminars, youth activities, interaction with officers and exhibits.
Local community members will have the opportunity to interact with the men and women of the MDTA Police during events in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Cecil, Charles, Harford and Prince George's counties. In addition, police equipment will be on display and personnel will be available to provide information about the agency
