BALTIMORE, Md. (July 2, 2022) – Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) Police Officers are investigating a suspected shooting that occurred Friday afternoon in Baltimore City.

At 3:33 p.m., MDTA Police Dispatch received calls for a possible road rage incident between the drivers of a black Honda sedan and a blue Chrysler sedan (pictured below) in the northbound lanes of the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel (I-895). A preliminary investigation suggests that a shooting occurred. No injuries were reported to the MDTA Police.

Any witnesses or persons who observed the black Honda sedan, the blue Chrysler sedan, or suspicious activity along northbound I-895 are asked to contact the MDTA Police at 443-915-7757.

MDTA Police Officers provide law enforcement services at the MDTA’s highways, bridges, and tunnels, at BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport, and at the Port of Baltimore.
