MDTA POLICE INVESTIGATING SHOOTING NEAR I-395
Witnesses Asked to Call 443-915-7743
BALTIMORE, Md. (November 6, 2022) – Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) Police Officers are investigating a shooting that occurred Saturday evening in Baltimore City.
At approximately 7:45 p.m., MDTA Police Dispatch received a call for a shooting in the area of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Russell Street. The preliminary investigation suggests that an altercation initially occurred between the drivers of a gray 2012 Hyundai Sonata and a black 2013 Honda Civic at northbound I-395 and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. According to witnesses, the driver of the Hyundai then stopped his vehicle in the travel portion of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard near Russell Street, exited the vehicle with a firearm, and shot at the Honda. No injuries were reported to the MDTA Police.
This is an open and ongoing investigation. MDTA Police detectives continue to collect and review various pieces of evidence. Any witnesses or persons who observed the gray Hyundai Sonata, the black Honda Civic, or suspicious activity along northbound I-395 or Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard are asked to contact the MDTA Police at 443-915-7743.
