MDTA POLICE INVESTIGATING FATAL CRASH ON ICC/MD 200
Witnesses Asked to Call 410-537-6905
OLNEY, Md. (March 4, 2023) – The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) Police Collison Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal crash that occurred Sunday evening in Montgomery County. On March 3, at 4:28 p.m., MDTA Police Officers assigned to the Intercounty Connector (ICC) Detachment responded to the eastbound lanes of the ICC/MD 200 near Shady Grove Road.
Responding officers located a Kawasaki motorcycle which had been involved in a single-vehicle crash. Officers also located a white Chevy Silverado which struck the motorcycle following the initial crash. The Chevy did not strike the driver of the motorcycle.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 41-year-old Rockville man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Chevy was not injured.
