WEEKEND RIGHT LANE CLOSURES ON
SOUTHBOUND I-895 AT K-TRUSS BRIDGE CONTINUE
Expect Delays & Use Alternate Routes
WHAT: The right lane on southbound I-895 after the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel toll plaza and across the K-Truss Bridge will be closed temporarily to traffic. Motorists should use I-695/Key Bridge or I-95/Fort McHenry Tunnel as alternate routes.
WHEN: Weather permitting, every weekend from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, from June 3 through mid-October. No closures will occur 4th of July or Labor Day weekend. Lane closures will be lifted two hours before and after Baltimore Orioles and Ravens home games.
WHY: Toll Dollars At Work: The closures are part of the Maryland Transportation Authority's (MDTA) one-year, $6.1 million project to repair the K-Truss bridge approach spans. The current work on I-895 involves replacing the finger joints.
