**UPDATED SCHEDULE**

WORK TO RESULT IN TEMPORARY OVERNIGHT CLOSURES OF I-695 RAMPS IN NORTHEAST BALTIMORE

 

WHAT: The ramp from southbound I-95 to I-695 West (Exit 64/Outer Loop) will be closed overnight. The detour will direct motorists to I-695 East (Exit 64/Inner Loop), to eastbound US 40 (Exit 35B), to I-695 West.

WHEN: Weather permitting, Wednesday, June 14, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.

Note: The previously issued closures below have been postponed until next week. MDTA will issue new advisory when scheduled.

Ramp from northbound US 1 to I-695 East (Inner Loop) will be closed Wednesday, June 14, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.



Ramps from I-695 East (Inner Loop) to I-95 will be closed Thursday, June 15, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.


WHY: Your Toll Dollars At Work. Crews will be paving the roadway and ramps as part of the Maryland Transportation Authority's (MDTA) I-95 Improvement Project with Express Toll Lanes (ETL). The project at the I-95/I-695 interchange will reconstruct and realign I-695 from US 1 to MD 7 (Philadelphia Road).

The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration’s new anti-litter campaign — “Respect Maryland Roads. Don’t Litter.”— encourages everyone to help keep Maryland’s roads clean and safe for motorists and roadway workers. MDOT is also emphasizing heat illness prevention by encouraging employees who work outdoors to stay hydrated, take breaks, seek shade, and recognize the signs of heat-related illness.
