WORK TO RESULT IN TEMPORARY OVERNIGHT CLOSURE OF RAMP FROM I-695 INNER LOOP TO MD 7 (PHILADELPHIA ROAD) IN NORTHEAST BALTIMORE

 

WHAT: The ramp from I-695 East (Inner Loop) to MD 7 (Exit 34, Philadelphia Road) will close overnight.  The detour will direct motorists to eastbound US 40 (Exit 35B), to I-695 West (Outer Loop), to MD 7 (Exit 34, Philadelphia Road).

WHEN: Weather permitting, Thursday, Aug. 25, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.

WHY: Crews will be setting barrier wall as part of the Maryland Transportation Authority's (MDTA) I-95 Improvement Project with Express Toll Lanes (ETL). The current work at the I-95/I-695 interchange will reconstruct and realign I-695 from US 1 to MD 7 (Philadelphia Road). The project is anticipated to be complete in fall 2016.
