OVERNIGHT CLOSURES OF OUTER LOOP I-695 RAMPS IN NORTHEAST BALTIMORE FOR THE WEEK OF DEC. 6

 

WHAT:    The ramp from the Outer Loop of the Baltimore Beltway (I-695 West) to northbound US 1 (Exit 32B/Bel Air Road) will close overnight.  The detour will direct motorists to Exit 32A (southbound US 1), to I-695 East (Inner Loop), to Exit 32B (northbound US 1).

The ramp from northbound I-95 to I-695 West (Outer Loop) will close overnight.  The detour will direct motorists to I-695 East (Inner Loop), to Exit 35B (eastbound US 40), to I-695 West (Outer Loop).

WHEN:    Weather permitting, the ramp closures will occur Sunday, Dec. 6, through Thursday, Dec. 10, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.

WHY:       Toll Dollars At Work: The ramp closures are part of the Maryland Transportation Authority's (MDTA) I-95 Improvement Project With Express    Toll Lanes (ETL).  The current work at the I-95/I-695 interchange will reconstruct and realign I-695 from US 1 to MD 7 (Philadelphia Road).  The project is anticipated to be complete in summer 2016.
