CHANGING TRAFFIC PATTERNS ON I-95 IN BALTIMORE CITY THIS WEEK

4right

WHAT: Weather permitting, all traffic lanes will shift to the right on northbound I-95 between Caton Avenue (Exit 50) and Russell Street (Exit 52).

In addition, all traffic lanes will shift to the right on southbound I-95 between I-395 (Exit 53) and Caton Avenue (Exit 50).

WHEN: The northbound I-95 shift will be in effect by Tuesday morning, March 17, for approximately six weeks.

The southbound I-95 shift will be in effect by Thursday morning, March 19, for approximately six weeks.

WHY: Toll Dollars At Work: The traffic shifts are part of the Maryland Transportation Authoritys (MDTA) two-year, $64 million project to remove and replace the existing concrete deck (riding) surface and roadway joints on mainline I-95 and ramps in Baltimore City.

Stay Alert So No One Gets Hurt! Work-zone speed limits will be reduced to 50 mph on northbound and southbound I-95 once the traffic shifts are in place. Work-zone safety speed cameras coming soon.
