5K FORT MCHENRY TUNNEL FUN RUN ON OCT. 8 TO BENEFIT SPECIAL OLYMPICS MARYLAND

Minimal Delays Expected During Off-Peak Closures and 5K Event

WHAT: The northbound right tube (Bore 4) of the Fort McHenry Tunnel (I-95) will be closed temporarily for this weekend's 5K Fort McHenry Tunnel Fun Run. Barriers will separate vehicular traffic from runners in the toll plaza area during the event.

WHEN: Weather permitting, Saturday, Oct. 7, at approximately 8 p.m., Bore 4 will close to vehicular traffic. All northbound traffic will be directed through the northbound left tube (Bore 3). Bore 4 is scheduled to reopen to traffic by 12 noon on Sunday, Oct. 8.

In addition, the ramp from northbound I-95 to Keith Avenue (Exit 56) will be closed during this timeframe. The detour route will direct motorists to Boston Street (Exit 57), to southbound I-95, to Keith Avenue.

Stay Alert So No One Gets Hurt! Please drive with caution and obey posted-speed limits and traffic-control devices. For additional information on the Fort McHenry Tunnel 5K, please visit tunnelrun.org.
