MDTA POLICE RESPOND TO SHOOTING ON
I-895 IN BALTIMORE CITY
BALTIMORE, MD – On Monday, Aug. 6, at 5:44 p.m., the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) Police responded to a call of an injured person on southbound I-895 near Exit 7 - Potee Street.
MDTA Police officers arrived on scene and rendered aid to the male driver, who had been shot. He was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The incident remains under investigation, and no further updates are expected to be given tonight.
The MDTA Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident to please call the MDTA Police’s Tunnel Command Detachment at 410-537-1208.
