MDTA POLICE RECOVER STOLEN HANDGUN,
DRUGS DURING TRAFFIC STOP
IN ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY
BALTIMORE, MD – On Saturday, Aug. 18, the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) Police arrested a Baltimore woman who was in possession of a stolen handgun and drugs.
An MDTA Police officer stopped Andresha Jackson, a 21-year-old female from Baltimore, MD for speeding near the William Preston Lane Jr. Memorial (Bay) Bridge. Mrs. Jackson was in a 2006 Hyundai. During a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers located a loaded handgun, marijuana and MDMA (ecstasy).
The MDTA Police charged Mrs. Jackson with possession of a stolen handgun, illegally transporting a handgun in a vehicle and possession of controlled dangerous substance (CDS).
After processing, officers transported Mrs. Jackson to the Anne Arundel County District Court Commissioner.
