MDTA POLICE PARTICIPATED IN 2018 KINDERTIME TOY DRIVE
BALTIMORE, MD – On Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018, the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) Police participated in the annual Kindertime Toy Drive held at the Huber Community Life Center in Baltimore, MD. In its 20th year, the toy drive collects and provides toys to sick and needy children throughout Maryland.
During its two decades of operation, the toy drive has dispersed hundreds of thousands of toys. After toys are collected, they are given out by a convoy of police officers and firefighters to community organizations, including the Bea Gaddy Family Center, the Agape Christian Center, the Kennedy Krieger Institute and the Ronald McDonald House Center.
The toy drive is dedicated to fallen police officers and firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty. Throughout the years, police officers from 30 different departments have participated.
