MDTA POLICE INVESTIGATING FATAL CRASH AT I-95/MD 295 INTERCHANGE IN BALTIMORE CITY

BALTIMORE, Md. (April 5, 2024) – The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) Police Collison Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal crash that occurred Thursday afternoon in Baltimore City. On April 4, at 2:17 p.m., MDTA Police Officers assigned to the Central Command Detachment responded to the ramp from southbound I-95 to southbound MD 295.
Responding officers determined a white Mack garbage truck had been involved in a single- vehicle crash and fell onto the railroad tracks below the ramp. The driver of the truck, a 35-year- old Hanover man, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
This is an open and ongoing investigation. Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call the MDTA Police at 443-604-3189.
