MDTA POLICE HAVE IDENTIFIED TWO OF THREE
FATALITIES FROM MAJOR CRASHES ON I-95

The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) Police have identified two of the three fatalities that occurred on I-95 in Baltimore City on Saturday, Dec. 17. The Police have not yet identified the operator of the tanker truck who died in the major crash on I-95 near Caton Avenue.
Alfredo Santos Orellana, a 38-year old male from Mount Rainier, died in the crash on I-95 near Caton Avenue. Mehmed Hodzic, a 54-year old male from Edgewood, died in the crash on I-95 near Eastern Avenue.
There are still a number of unclaimed vehicles. The MDTA Police request any operators, passengers, involved individuals OR witnesses in the crash on I-95 near Caton Avenue to contact the Tunnel Command Duty Station at 410-537-1208. The MDTA Police need information to match the operators and passengers with the vehicles involved.
Please be advised that the MDTA Police will interview anyone claiming a vehicle prior to releasing their vehicle. Here is the information that the Police need:
- Vehicle they were operating;
- Passengers in the vehicle; and
- Contact information.
