WORK TO RESULT IN TEMPORARY OVERNIGHT CLOSURES OF OUTER LOOP I-695 RAMPS IN NORTHEAST BALTIMORE
**UPDATED**
WHAT: The ramp from southbound I-95 to I-695 West (Outer Loop) will close overnight. The detour will direct motorists to I-695 East (Inner Loop), to eastbound US 40 (Exit 35B), to I-695 West (Outer Loop).
The ramp from northbound I-95 to I-695 West (Outer Loop) will close overnight. The detour will direct motorists to I-695 East (Inner Loop), to eastbound US 40 (Exit 35B), to I-695 West (Outer Loop).
The ramp from I-695 West (Outer Loop) to northbound US 1 (Exit 32B/Bel Air Road) will close overnight. The detour will direct motorists to southbound US 1 (Exit 32A), to I-695 East (Inner Loop), to northbound US 1 (Exit 32B).
WHEN: Weather permitting, the ramp from southbound I-95 to I-695 West will be closed Thursday, May 19, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.
Weather permitting, the ramp from southbound I-95 to I-695 West and the ramp from northbound I-95 to I-695 West will be closed Tuesday, May 24, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning. Due to inclement weather, the closure originally scheduled for May 22 has been rescheduled for this date.
Weather permitting, the ramp from northbound I-95 to I-695 West and the ramp from I-695 West to northbound US 1 will be closed Wednesday, May 25, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning. Due to inclement weather, the closure originally scheduled for May 23 has been rescheduled for this date.
WHY: Crews will be restriping the roadway as part of the Maryland Transportation Authority's (MDTA) I-95 Improvement Project with Express Toll Lanes (ETL). The current work at the I-95/I-695 interchange will reconstruct and realign I-695 from US 1 to MD 7 (Philadelphia Road). The project is anticipated to be complete in fall 2016.
