MDTA POLICE ANNOUNCE
NEW PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICER
BALTIMORE, MD - The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) Police today named Lieutenant Kevin S. Ayd as its Public Information Officer (PIO). Lt. Ayd is a 14-year veteran of the MDTA Police.

A Harford County resident, Lt. Ayd holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Management from Johns Hopkins University and is a graduate of its Police Executive Leadership Program. Prior to being named MDTA Police PIO, Lt. Ayd served as the commander of the Commercial Vehicle Safety Unit.
The Maryland Transportation Authority Police, a nationally accredited force, is the seventh-largest law-enforcement agency in the state, with more than 600 sworn and civilian law-enforcement professionals. MDTA Police Officers provide law enforcement at the MDTA's highways, bridges and tunnels; at the BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport; and at the Port of Baltimore.
