WORK TO RESULT IN TEMPORARY OVERNIGHT CLOSURES OF RAMP FROM SOUTHBOUND I-95 TO CATON AVENUE IN BALTIMORE CITY THIS WEEK
WHAT: The ramp from southbound I-95 to Caton Avenue (Exit 50) will be closed temporarily to traffic.
The detour route will direct motorists to I-695 (Exit 49A), to Hollins Ferry Road (Exit 9), to northbound I-695, to northbound I-95, to Caton Avenue (Exit 50).
WHEN: Weather permitting, the ramp from southbound I-95 to Exit 50 will be closed Wednesday, Sept. 2, and Thursday, Sept. 3, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.
WHY: Toll Dollars At Work: The ramp closures are part of the Maryland Transportation Authority's (MDTA) two-year, $64 million project to remove and replace the existing concrete deck (riding) surface and roadway joints on mainline I-95 and ramps in Baltimore City.
